Concrete ID is a study of the unique architectural identity of Toronto. It's my own 21st century take on the Gesamtkunstwerk. Photography, writing, design, research, and passion all came together for a publication that I can call my own.
It's equal parts history, exploration, and stories of personal connection with my city's architecture; collected from interviews of bystanders and vignettes from my life.
Zoom in and give it a read.
Proposal & Process
The spreads below come from an initial process book; created as pitch for the Concrete ID publication.
The book features some of the photos I would go on to use later, and hand drawn elements to disseminate some of the early information that I'd learned along the way.
